You don’t have to be a fashionista or dapper dan to think that our clothing matters. In fact, as a fundamental part of daily life, our clothing forms an important site for creativity, for storytelling, for wisdom, and for justice.

Whole Cloth exists to cultivate a Christian ethic of clothing through story, craft, and justice. Our primary aims are

  • to spark conversations within churches, small groups, and families about what it means to dress faithfully
  • to empower more just systems of clothing production by encouraging home sewing, ┬ámore local textile economies, and more ethical consumption through global supply chains
  • to trace the beautiful and complex traditions of textiles throughout Scripture, literature, history, and culture.
